Through Guillaume Batard‘s professional experience, from his beginnings at the Caisse d’Epargne counter to his current position as Director of Anti-Money Laundering in an international FinTech, we will explore in depth the current challenges and strategies to combat these threats.

Green Finance

Promise, solution, illusion or proven example of greenwashing? “Green finance” is now ubiquitous but remains a vague and controversial idea. More than just a fad, it has established itself as an essential step in the response to the climate and environmental crisis. At a time when more and more financial professionals and “consumers” are showing an interest in a meaningful approach, this book, driven by a strong conviction, seeks to disentangle what is useful in green finance from what is incidental, even fallacious. Based on an explanation of the issues, it proposes to: understand the role of finance in addressing global warming and its contribution to a transition to a sustainable future; highlight what is involved in the objective of “aligning” financial flows with the climate and environmental objectives envisaged by the Paris Agreement; Identify the concrete way in which different financial institutions can put themselves at the service of the transition to carbon neutrality.
